We are pleased to welcome Dr. Bethanne Lokuta to the Ridgewood Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Lokuta, a graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, has been in practice for 10 years. She loves caring for dogs, cats, and other small mammals, and is especially fond of neonatal and geriatric care. A long time resident of New Jersey, she has traveled all over the Carribean, Central and South America, and the United States. She also participated in a research project to study Charles Darwin’s Finches in the Galapagos Islands. Dr. Lokuta is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Her pet family includes three cats, Fikus, Pip, and Kitty. She has a passion for audiobooks, crocheting, needlework, and other crafts.
Another change that we would like to share with you is that Dr. Travis Cerf will be making a major life change. Having already moved to a new home in western New Jersey, closer to the fishing he is passionate about, he has decided to make his life a little more “livable” by relocating his professional life to this area as well. His new practice home will be in Denville, N.J. Understandable, as a forty-five minute commute four times a day can be a daunting major ordeal as soon as the snow hits the ground. While we will all miss Dr. Travis on a day to day basis, “everything happens for a reason” and “nothing remains the same without change”! Please join us in wishing Dr. TLC every success in his new endeavor and a future full of happiness. He will, obviously, always be family!
