Greater than 2 Years
o There are a number of diseases that can develop in ferrets after 2 years of age. Some of these include adrenal disease, insulinoma, neoplasia and cardiac disease. Early detection of these diseases is crucial to the longevity of your pet.
o Bi-annual Physical Exams
o Follow all other Annual Recommendations
Greater than 4 Years
o At this age, there is an even greater risk for these diseases to develop therefore more aggressive screening protocols are recommended.
